Upon arrival at Pakse Airport, meet your guide and proceed towards the lush Bolaven Plateau via Saravanh Province. En route, enjoy a tea break and observe local village life.
The plateau is famous for its cool climate, fertile soil, and dramatic waterfalls. Visit Tad Fan and Tad Yeuang Waterfalls, cascading deep into forested gorges. Learn about local cultivation of coffee, tea, cardamom, and tropical crops.
This off-the-beaten-path journey offers authentic insights into rural Laos.
Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, visit Tad Pha Souam Waterfall, surrounded by ethnic minority villages. Continue to the magnificent Wat Phou, a UNESCO-listed pre-Angkorian temple dating back to the 5th century, dramatically set against Mount Phu Kao.
Proceed to Wat Ou Mong and Phou Asa, then travel to Don Khong Island, the largest island in the 4,000 Islands region.
Upon arrival, walk to your hotel and later explore the island by bicycle, visiting colonial-era buildings and local villages. End the day with a breathtaking sunset over the Mekong River.
Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, board a boat for a scenic Mekong River cruise to Don Khone Island. Explore Don Khone and Don Det by bicycle or Tuk Tuk, visiting colonial buildings, the historic French railway, and Liphi Waterfall (The Corridor of the Devil).
Later, cruise back to the mainland at Ban Nakasung and drive south to visit Khone Phapheng Waterfall, the largest waterfall by volume in Southeast Asia.
Continue onward to Pakse.
Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, visit Wat Phousalao Viewpoint for panoramic views over Pakse and the Mekong River. Explore the local market before transferring to Pakse Airport for your onward journey.
