Your spiritual journey begins from Kathgodam, the gateway to Kumaon. As you drive towards Pithoragarh, the route itself becomes a pilgrimage. Stop at the sacred Kainchi Dham, where Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj’s ashram draws countless devotees. Continue to the divine shrine of Golu Devta, the justice deity of Kumaon, known for granting wishes. Later, explore the enchanting Jageshwar Dham, a complex of ancient temples surrounded by towering deodar trees, radiating peace and timeless charm. By evening, arrive in Pithoragarh, a town often called "Mini Kashmir," and rest for the night.
Kainchi Dham: Kainchi Dham, located in Uttarakhand, India, is a revered ashram established by Neem Karoli Baba in 1964. Known for its serene environment and spiritual significance, it attracts numerous devotees seeking blessings and inspiration.
Golu Devta Mandir: Golu Devta Mandir, located in Almora, Uttarakhand, is dedicated to Golu Devta, the deity of justice. Renowned for its unique tradition of offering bells, devotees believe their prayers and grievances are heard and addressed by the benevolent deity.
Jageshwar Dham: Jageshwar Dham in Uttarakhand is an ancient cluster of over 100 stone temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, set amidst serene deodar forests and sacred streams.
After breakfast, set out on a scenic drive towards Dharchula, a border town on the banks of the Kali River, sharing its boundary with Nepal. Here, you’ll experience the vibrant blend of cultures and unique Himalayan life. From Dharchula, the road climbs higher into the mountains as you proceed towards Nabi/Gunji, quaint Himalayan villages that serve as your base for upcoming holy expeditions. Gunji is a pivotal stop for travelers heading to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat, and it also serves as a key point for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India via the Lipulekh Pass.
The drive will take travelers through picturesque villages like Chialekh, Garbyang, and Nepalchu, offering stunning vistas of mountains, cascading waterfalls, and serene rivers along the way. Accommodations and meals will be provided in a guesthouse or homestay in Gunji, ensuring a comfortable stay in this scenic locale.
Note: Break at Dharchula to collect permits
Today, the group will travel by local jeeps to Jyolingkong, situated at an elevation of 4762 meters, for a sacred view of Mount Adi Kailash. Along the route, they will pass notable landmarks such as Kunti Parvat, Pandav Fort, Brahma Parvat, Pandav Parvat, and Parvati Mukut.
Upon reaching Jyolingkong, a trek of 3-4 kilometers will lead them to Parvati Lake (Gauri Kund) and the Adi Kailash Temple. Here, travelers have the opportunity to take a holy dip in the lake and collect the sacred water. After spending some time soaking in the spiritual ambiance, the group will return to Gunji by jeep.
Adi Kailsh: Adi Kailash, part of the sacred Panch Kailash in Hindu mythology, is revered as the abode of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati. Known for its transformative cosmic energy, it is a pilgrimage site offering spiritual enlightenment and serene natural beauty.
Parvati Sarovar: Parvati Sarovar, also known as Gauri Kund, is a sacred lake near Adi Kailash. It holds immense spiritual significance in Hinduism, believed to be where Goddess Parvati meditated. Pilgrims often take holy dips here for spiritual cleansing and enlightenment.
This day takes you to another rare wonder of the Himalayas — Om Parvat. Here, nature itself has carved the holy symbol ‘ॐ’ on the snow-laden face of the mountain, leaving devotees speechless. The sight is considered highly auspicious and is believed to bring blessings to all who witness it. The energy of this place is unmatched, making it a lifetime memory. After darshan and quiet moments of reflection.
Spend some time at Nabhidang, soaking in the serene beauty and spiritual atmosphere. On the return trip to Gunji, enjoy the captivating views of Sheshnag Parvat, visit the historic Ved Vyas Gufa, and participate in a puja at the revered Kali Temple in Kalapani village. Same day return back to Dharchula for overnight stay.
Om Parvat: Om Parvat is revered for its natural formation of the sacred symbol 'Om' on its snowy slopes. Situated near Adi Kailash, it holds profound religious significance in Hinduism, drawing pilgrims seeking spiritual blessings and enlightenment.
After an early breakfast, begin your journey from the serene border town of Dharchula, driving through winding mountain roads, terraced valleys, and charming Kumaoni villages. En route, stop at Pithoragarh, often called the “Little Kashmir of Uttarakhand,” to soak in views of the majestic Panchachuli peaks. By afternoon, reach Patal Bhuvaneshwar, the mystical underground limestone cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Exploring its natural formations, symbolic carvings, and legends of 33 crore deities is a truly divine experience. Overnight stay at Patal Bhuvaneshwar.
After breakfast, bid farewell to the serene landscapes of Kumaon and begin your return journey towards Kathgodam/Lalkuan. The scenic drive takes you through winding mountain roads, lush valleys, and peaceful villages, offering one last glimpse of the Himalayas. On reaching Kathgodam/Lalkuan, you will be dropped at the railway station for your onward journey.
