Today, start your orientation walking city tour of Lisbon – the capital that has been colonized by many civilizations along the centuries: Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans, Moors and finally the Portuguese after 1147. You see St. George Castle (from outside), including its surrounding quarter and Alfama, Lisbon's oldest quarter. This city is linked with the heroic deeds of the Portuguese maritime exploration, in the 15th and 16th centuries. This was the age of discoveries and the Golden Era of Portugal, transforming Lisbon into the opulent centre of a vast empire.
Part of the wealth from these expeditions was used to build magnificent monuments in a unique Portuguese style: the extravagant Manueline architectural style, best typified in Jeronimos Monastery (outside) and view the Belem Fort from outside. Some of these monuments can still be seen, especially in Belém. But Lisbon has more than just monuments! Visit the traditional commerce zones of the city with their 18th century buildings: The Downtown and the Chiado. Later visit the famous Radha Krishna Mandir for some prayers.

Bid farewell to Valencia, and drive along a scenic coast view before you stop in Tarragona, where the beaches meet the old Roman capital. Our first stop is just past Tarragona where you will discover the impressive Roman Aqueduct (1st century BC) popularly known as 'El Pont del Diable' (The Devil's Bridge) or 'Les Ferreres' Aqueduct. It used to be part of the water supply network of the city and today stands in almost perfect condition.
Over 200 meters long and nearly 30 meters high it is one of the hidden jewels of the area. From there, you continue back to Tarragona and walk down through the old town to discover the Roman Forum and the nearby Roman Circus hidden amidst the urban design.
Walk along the underground passageways that held the Circus' stands and come to one of the most popular squares within the old town, Placa de la Font, situated inside the Roman Circus. If you stand very still and close your eyes, you can almost hear the chariots racing by. On this very spot, thousands of years ago, or, perhaps on the very same day of the week, the Roman capital of the Iberian Peninsula came alive in all of its bloody glory.
And last, but certainly not least, enjoy the breath-taking sea view over the Roman amphitheatre (from outside) and imagine gladiators battling each other to the death!
