After breakfast at the hotel, depart from Luang Prabang and enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 4 hours to Nongkiaw. En route, stop at Ban Na Yang Village, where you will witness traditional Lao silk weaving and learn about the local process of making handmade textiles and traditional dresses.
Continue sightseeing through rural villages to observe the daily lifestyle of local communities. Upon arrival in Nongkiaw, check in to your guesthouse/hotel. Later, enjoy a leisurely walking tour of Nongkiaw village, soaking in the peaceful riverside atmosphere.
Overnight stay in Nongkiaw.
Early morning (around 06:00 AM), hike up to the Pha Xom Nang Viewpoint to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise and panoramic views of Nongkiaw and the surrounding mountains. Return to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, transfer to a nearby Khmu village, where your local guide will introduce you to village life and traditions. Begin a guided trek (approx. 3 hours) through lush landscapes to visit Hmong and Khmu tribal villages.
Upon arrival, check in to a local homestay and refresh. In the evening, interact with villagers and learn about their culture, history, traditions, and daily life.

After breakfast at the homestay, continue trekking for 1–2 hours towards the Nam Ou River bank. On arrival, board a boat for a scenic cruise on the Nam Ou River to Muang Ngoi Kao Village.
Explore the village and experience its tranquil rural charm. Later, continue your boat cruise back to Nongkiaw, enjoying stunning limestone cliffs and river landscapes along the way. On arrival, walk to your hotel.
Overnight stay in Nongkiaw.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit the local market to experience daily trade and local products. Begin the journey back to Luang Prabang, stopping en route to visit Hmong and Khmu villages.
